From September 20 to 22, 2023, Dubrovnik hosted the 34th Central European Conference on Information and Intelligent Systems (CECIIS). Organized by the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics, with support from prominent academic institutions, this year’s theme “Digital Human” explored humanity’s integration into evolving digital realms.
The program featured keynote speeches by experts like Prof. Lode Lauwaert and Damir Bogdan, panel discussions on AI ethics, and workshops on interdisciplinary topics. Attendees also engaged in the “Project Oasis” and hands-on exercises on information security. Highlights included the international student section, showcasing innovative research from participants across Europe, the Americas, and beyond.
CECIIS 2023 facilitated dialogue on how digital technologies reshape our lives, society, and industries, addressing both opportunities and ethical challenges.
